Pinot Noir

Made with our Pinot Noir Clone 7 grapes. Red fruits (strawberry, cherry, raspberry), floral, soft mid-palate, forest floor/dry leaves, twinge of acidity on the finish, lingering.

Gamay Beaujolais Clone. Dark berries/stone fruit, smokey, spicy/forest, sour cherry hard candy, more tannic structure than the 2020 Pinot Noir Clone 7 and more age worthy.  It’s a “bigger” wine. 

This is a “single clone” Pinot Noir, produced from our Gamay Beaujolais clone.  It is medium bodied, red fruit forward and very approachable already.  This is the smallest Pinot Noir bottling in years; it’ll be gone quickly.

Crafted from a single clone, the Gamay Beaujolais, last produced as a stand-alone clone in 2016.  Bright, red berries, light to medium bodied.  6.9 g/l TA, 3.62 pH, 0.2% residual sugar and 12% alcohol. 

This wine boasts aromas of red fruits, violets, and mushrooms/forest floor. This whirlwind of character continues on the palate along with touches of red plum, raspberry, cranberry, cherry, stewed strawberries, tea, and a touch of orange peel. Even though this wine was aged for over 30 months in oak barrels, there is little influence from this on the palate. It's a bright, young wine that lingers nicely and should age well over the next decade.

Enjoy this wine’s aromas of rich, ripe, dark cherries, black plums, strawberry jam, vanilla, violets and forest floor. These aromas combine on the palate with black cherry, tea and buttered popcorn. Fine tannins sit on the palate beautifully creating a long, fruit driven finish.

This Pinot Noir was produced with a single clone of McGregor Pinot, the Gamay-Beaujolais clone. The wine is fruit-forward, bold, and bright. Enjoy flavors of red berries and cherry leading into a long, velvety finish.

Initial aromas of black cherry, raspberry, coconut, and spicy oak soar in this Pinot. The vibrant, ruby red color of this wine is bookended with a smooth and lengthy finish. Like most reds from our 2015 vintage, this wine will not be available for long.

Our latest Pinot Noir release is a youthful-tasting entry into our current lineup of Pinot Noir vintages. Initial aromas of black cherry, raspberry, coconut, and spice abound. At first taste you are met with a complexity of flavors: black currant & cranberry give way to a finish of elderberry, vanilla, & light oak. This Pinot is medium bodied with medium-fine tannins which lead to an enjoyable finish.

This vibrant, ruby red wine is very aromatic and flavorful. It has a rather understated complexity of aromas and flavors that come alive in the glass as the wine breathes and opens up. Red cherry, strawberry, black tea, forest floor, spice and vanilla. The wine finishes with lingering fruit flavors and velvety tannins. This wine is quite approachable right now, but can easily cellar for at least 3-5 years.

This vintage of Pinot has a deep, dark garnet color. Aromas and flavors of tart cherry and strawberry are most noticeable. Hints of flowers and spice are also present. The balance between fruit character and great Finger Lakes acidity makes this a perfect food friendly wine. Serve with grilled steak, seared tuna, salmon and tangy barbecued chicken.

This vintage of Pinot Noir is a blend of all three of the Pinot Noir Clones we grow here at McGregor Vineyard: Mariafeld clone, Clone 7, and the Gamay-Beaujolais clone. This is a very aromatic wine with aromas reminiscent of ripe red raspberries, cherries and strawberries with a hint of vanilla. These aromas follow through on the palate and the wine is rich and medium bodied. The oak character is elegantly integrated with the fruit character and the wine lingers nicely on the palate. Aged for 27 months in French Oak.
