2020 Semi-Dry Riesling
Ripe peach apricot, nectarine, tropical/tangerine. Medium bodied, exceptional sugar-acid interplay, lingering. Drink upon release through 2030-35 and likely longer.
A total of 6.64 tons of estate grown Riesling grapes were harvested on October 22nd and 23rd, 2020 with 21 brix natural sugar, 1.06 g/L TA, and a 3.24 pH level. The grapes were then crushed, partially cold soaked, pressed and inoculated with yeast, next undergoing a 13 day fermentation at 60 degrees. Then heat and cold stabilized and filtered, the wine aged in stainless steel tanks until being bottled on May 5th, 2021. 12.1% alcohol, 7.7 g/L TA, 2.98 pH and a residual sugar of 1.25%. 359 cases were produced.
