2019 Dry Gewurztraminer Reserve
This pale straw wine is full bodied, bold and delicious. The aromatics and flavors are spice driven with cinnamon, clove and pepper mingling with pear and underlying white flower blossoms. This wine will improve with cellar aging of 3-5 years.
A total of 3.69 tons of estate grown grapes was harvested on October 28, 2019 with 23.4 brix natural sugar, 5.2 g/l TA and a 3.43 pH. The grapes were destemmed, pressed and inoculated with yeast. A cool fermentation at 58-59 degrees lasted for 21 days. The wine is cold and heat stabilized and filtered. It has 14.7% alcohol, 5.6 g/l TA, a 3.43 pH and 0.1% residual sugar. Approximately 207 cases.
