After 13 years, this vintage is holding up very nicely. It’s fruit character is balanced with earthy, spicy and leathery notes derived from the presence of “brett” (Brettanomyces yeast). Our 2015 Bunch Select Riesling is a sweet, dessert style wine. Riesling bunches were hand-selected for botrytized grapes (the "noble rot") and a very small batch of 375 mL bottles was produced.
The result is a very mouth filling wine with outstanding Riesling character - with additional spice and honey notes. 8% residual sugar, 0.92 TA. Worthy of long term cellaring.
This estate-grown wine is a bold and complex Bordeaux style blend of Cabernet Franc (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) & Merlot (20%). The wine was aged in French and American oak for 25 months. Concentrated, complex and sublime. Ripe red berry fruit character entwines with sweet oak and spice for a wonderful aromatic and tasting experience. This vintage of Rob Roy Red is soft and rich on the palate and ripe, velvety tannins linger along with lightly toasted oak notes.
This banner 2010 vintage has an enticing inky purple/black color that seems to nearly stain the glass. It offers a complexity of aromas and flavors including plum, blackberry, sweet oak, coconut, elderberry, smoke and earth. It is a sublime wine whose finish lingers on and on..
This vintage has fruit driven aromas such as cherries, blackberries and strawberries combined with spice black tea and hints of forest floor. Rob Roy Red is very smooth and palate filling and the aromatics blend well with the oak barrel influences.
Very fine tannins sit and linger on a very pleasant finish. Cabernet Franc is the workhorse of the blend with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot providing background and nuanced complexity.
