A blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot all grown on the McGregor Vineyard estate.

Aromatically, this wine is reminiscent of blackberry, ripe cherries and plums, and has an earthy side filled with leather, smokiness, and graphite. It is medium bodied on the palate and its flavors tilt toward red fruit (cherry and raspberry), smoke, tobacco and a touch of anise. Grippy, fine tannins linger on the tongue with a very subtle background oaky character.

50% Cabernet Franc, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot. Each varietal shines, yet the blend overshadows any of the three on their own.  Complex, elegant, approachable yet fantastic aging potential.  Currently 6.3 g/l TA, 3.61 pH, 0.4% residual sugar and 12.5% alcohol.

This is a luscious and opulent dry red wine made from a blend of estate grown Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, & Merlot grapes and carefully aged in oak barrels. This ruby red wine is rich and complex - boasting flavors and aromas of black cherries, raspberries, earth, and leather - supported by a bold tannic structure that allows it to age wonderfully.

This vintage is fruit driven yet earthy. It has aromas and flavors of raspberry, black cherry, plum along with hints of cedar and dust. The oak barrel influences are nuanced and the tannins are beautifully integrated in the wine lending to a very smooth and pleasant finish.

This blend is our homage to the exquisite wines of Bordeaux but we craft the blend with the Finger Lakes in mind. Every vintage of Rob Roy Red utilizes Cabernet Franc as the workhorse of the blend since this is clearly one of the most promising red wine grapes we grow in this region. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot provide the background and nuanced complexity.

The presentation is smooth and the flavors mingle beautifully with the influences of the oak barrels. The wine has fruit driven aromas and flavors of cherries, blackberries and strawberries combined with sweet oak, spice, black tea and hints of forest floor.

This vintage has fruit driven aromas such as cherries, blackberries and strawberries combined with spice black tea and hints of forest floor.  Rob Roy Red is very smooth and palate filling and the aromatics blend well with the oak barrel influences.

Very fine tannins sit and linger on a very pleasant finish. Cabernet Franc is the workhorse of the blend with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot providing background and nuanced complexity.

This is a bold and complex Bordeaux style blend of Cabernet Franc (50%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%) & Merlot (20%). Aged in French and American oak for 30 months, this wine has aromas of ripe red fruits, sweet oak and a subtle earthiness. This vintage is already soft on the palate and the fruit character balances the oak structure nicely. Ripe tannins offer a pleasing finish to this elegant wine. Made with grapes grown on the McGregor estate.

This estate-grown wine is a bold and complex Bordeaux style blend of Cabernet Franc (60%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) & Merlot (20%).  The wine was aged in French and American oak for 25 months. Concentrated, complex and sublime. Ripe red berry fruit character entwines with sweet oak and spice for a wonderful aromatic and tasting experience. This vintage of Rob Roy Red is soft and rich on the palate and ripe, velvety tannins linger along with lightly toasted oak notes.
