Blues & Berries

Visit McGregor Vineyard Winery on August 9 & 10, 2008 for our annual “Blues and Berries” weekend celebration from 10am-6pm each day. This is surely one of McGregor’s most enjoyable events of the summer, especially if you like fresh berries, blues music and fine wine of course! Guests are treated to samples of berry-inspired foods, wine samples of their choice along with some great live blues music. Steve Peao will perform from 1-5 pm on Saturday and Bill Brown will perform from 1-4 on Sunday.
Stacey McGregor is preparing some scrumptious berry themed delights for this special event.
McGregor is charging $8 per person for the event ($6 per Clan Club Member), which includes the food and wine samples and a McGregor wine glass. Reservations are not necessary for this event!
This event is also a great time to sample some recently released McGregor wines!

McGregor's Clan Club Picnic

The 22st annual McGregor Winery Clan Club picnic - for McGregor Clan Club Members and their guests ONLY!
Reservations are required by Friday, August 7
Cancellations need to be given by Wednesday, August 12 in order to have the picnic fees refunded!!! The dinner foods will be announced in a upcoming newsletter.
Things to keep in mind:
• It’s a long, fun day but the picnic does end- pay attention to the amount of wine you consume
(water and soda is also available)!
• We provide many chairs, but do suggest you bring
your favorite lawn chairs for the day.
• Bring your raincoat and umbrella just in case (the picnic is a blast even in the rain)
• Make your lodging reservations sooner than later!
• Bring a McGregor wine inspired dish to share during the first part of the day
• Don’t wait until the end of the picnic to visit the winery... if everyone waits to the end of the day it’ll be too crowded to be enjoyable!

Viking Spirit, Keuka Lake Brunch Cruise- Members Only!

A few years ago Stacey and I got the idea to offer a brunch cruise on Keuka Lake aboard the Viking Spirit as a way to unwind from the festivities of the Clan Club Picnic with some Clan Club Members. It was so enjoyable that we decided that we’d try to repeat the adventure every year. The cruise will feature a champagne brunch and Stacey and I will also provide a great selection of wines. The cruise takes us from the Viking Resort out to the end of the Bluff and back again- it’s a real treat to see the winery from the water while sipping wine and relaxing with friends. Obviously we can’t take everyone, but hope that you’ll consider joining us. The cost will be announced. Call with your reservations TODAY as spots fill up quickly. Chocolate & Red Wine

Visit McGregor Vineyard Winery from 10am to 6pm on September 5th and 6th for our annual Chocolate and Red Wine Event. This is one of the winery’s most popular and longest-running events. Samples of special gourmet foods created at the winery to pair with a diversity of McGregor’s award-winning wines will accompany wine tastings all weekend.
We're releasing our 2007 Cabernet Franc, 2006 Rob Roy Red and our 2006 Black Russian Red!
Stacey McGregor is preparing some scrumptious gourmet delights that pair perfectly with our fine red wines.
Of course the focus of the weekend is red wine but McGregor’s large selection of white wines is available for tasting as well. McGregor Vineyard specializes in producing estate grown wines using the classic European wine grape varieties (vitis vinifera) including: Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay and more.
The cost to participate in the event is $8 per person ($5 for Clan Club members). This fee covers the special food samples, wine samples, and a McGregor wine glass!

Red Wine Barrel Tasting I

John McGregor will be leading small groups into the barrel room for a candle-lit, white table cloth and crystal glass affair that is sure to prove more than memorable. This year's event features barrel samples of the sensational 2008 vintage red wines.
Not only is this a fun event, it's educational as well! The wines will be discussed in a casual manner and all will have the opportunity to help us determine how some of the 2008 vintage wines will be blended! Even better: this is a chance to purchase case "futures" at real bargain prices.
After the tasting, each group will head down to our tasting room and indulge in a wonderful assortment of gourmet hors d'oeuvres prepared by Stacey McGregor while sampling wines from our current wine list.
THIS EVENT SELLS OUT EACH YEAR AND HAS VERY LIMITED SEATING... RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED SO CALL AND RESERVE YOUR SPOT TODAY!!!
Barrel tastings are scheduled for the following times:

Cariibbean Cruise with John & Stacey McGregor

Stacey and John McGregor are excited to announce that they’re hosting a seven day Caribbean cruise The cruise leaves Fl. Lauderdale on January 10, 2010 for a seven day tour of the eastern Caribbean on the Emerald Princess cruise ship. We’ll make stops at Princess Cays, Bahamas; St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands and Grand Turk, Turks & Caicos Islands.
During the cruise, we'll be hosting a special wine tasting of some of our best wines spanning the last 30 years...we'll have a chance to discuss them in depth and offer some perspective on the history or our vineyard and winery in the Finger Lakes.
This undoubtedly will be a LOT of fun and I hope
many of you will be able to join us. If all goes
well, we’ll plan other cruises in the future!
